Meek Mill says he passed on a prison reform meeting at The White House after JAY-Z and other mentors made him feel it would be “problematic” for his image.

Jay’s team denied that he “convinced” or “forced” Meek to cancel after TMZ said a Thursday call from the Big Homie is what made the Philly rapper steer clear of Pennsylvania Ave.

While Meek is managed by Jay’s Roc Nation team, Jay’s source insists that he consulted several trusted parties, who TMZ described as “high-profile African-Americans.”

Meek told TMZ:

“I was originally scheduled to be part of a panel on Prison Reform at the White House to help shed light on the issues within the system. Unfortunately, the focus turned to the President and Myself which concerned me that it might take away from creating a positive result from today’s discussions.”

He continues, “As a result, I decided not to attend so that the focus would be solely on fixing our prison system. Most importantly I remain fully committed to improving our criminal justice system.”

The event was a Prison Reform Summit hosted by Donald Trump. Attendees included members of Congress, activists and citizens who have been victimized by the system.

After being released from prison this spring, Meek said he felt it was “a very important moment,” vowing to “shine a light” on systems many failures.

Trump did not address Meek’s absence, but he did announce that he is dedicated to lowering the recidivism rate, saying, ”For this effort, we are not just absolving prisoners of their central role in their own rehabilitation there is no substitute for personal accountability and there is no tolerance for those who take advantage of society’s generosity to prey upon the innocent.”

Trump added, “However, if we want more prisoners to take charge of their own lives then we should work to give them the tools to stand on their own two feet.”

  1. He not only took him back to the plantation, he put a brand new pair of chains and shackles on his feet and on his neck. The excuse given for non-attendance is rather pathetic and unconvincing and coming from Jay-Z, a man who has done virtually more than anyone else to portray our women as nothing more than objects of sexual fantasies and our men as unrelenting criminals, I cannot see when or how an institutionalized thug like Jay-Z could possibly become a community leader. It is a shame really and Meek should have taken the opportunity but I understand he would be afraid to cross swords with Jay-Z. I wonder if Dr. Ben Carson was one of the African Americans Meek spoke to, that is if haters still regard Dr. Carson as part of the black community.

Our women….Bi**h GTFOH! You’re just another racist pretending to be black. Jay Z can’t be a community leader but a f**king racist son of a Klansman can be president, are you kidding me. Only a racist or a mentally-ill black ass coon would see a black person shucking and jiving with racist as getting off the plantation. Why in the hell would Meek speak with a sold out black fool like Ben Carson who is just as destructive to the black community as you claim Jay-Z to be. If Jay-Z is an institutionalized thug what the f**k do you label trump? A man who defrauded students out of money for a fake university and had to pay a 25 million dollar settlement, accused of raping a 13 year old, called for the execution of 5 innocent black men who was falsely accused of raping and killing a white woman, sleeping with Russian prostitutes and porn stars. trump is 10x more unfit to lead than Jay-z could ever be.

Andy, you can’t be black if you don’t think and act like her. What does that tell you about her cognitive capability?

      • Even your own post shows that your mind and face is not only twisted with racial hatred but you are insane and morally bankrupt. You really need to be apprehended and put into a mental institution on a permanent basis. Lunatic, I am fully black and very proud of it.

        @ Andy Andrew/Mac Daddy
Bitch you’re not black! As matter of fact you’re Mac Daddy the same white racist who posts on this site pretending to be black using different names but still can’t hide your f**king stupid. You can’t convince no logical, woke black person to follow your dumb ass off of the cliff with donald trump by using a different name because your logic is still ignorant.

Andy, the educated, fact driven intellectuals don’t engage with the racist, vulgar “Passing Through”. She is incapable of free thought, analyzing trends, and debating intelligently. Let’s just hope she is truly passing through. I on the other hand would love to discuss black unemployment, income trends, the positive economy as it pertains to black Americans who love this country. Thanks

I had no problem with Meek going to the white house but, he should know that trump is a racist who hates black people and he isn’t going to do a dam thing to help anyone black. The prison plantation industry is a business people like trump benefit from the cheap slave labor. The white house visit would have been a mere bulls**t photo opportunity and a complete waste of time. However, I applaud Meek’s effort.

    • You still on this “Trump is a racist” song? You should be sensible enough to look more closely by now, unless of course you are also racist hating on white people too. I hear when Jennifer Hudson had drama in her family members being killed it was this same “racist” Trump that took her into one of his Hotels to give her some respite for a while. He must really be “racist”. My concern is that people like you really are suffering from a mild form of insanity with this worthless cry of racism against POTUS and calling the man racist will not help our community, which needs all the help it can get from POTUS. Trump will be POTUS for two terms, can our community afford to be in the “hating boat” for that long? NO.

MF! If you really are black (which I doubt) typing this bulls**t, you’re the one who’s truly insane! If you’re delusional and stupid enough believe trump will make a second term then you’re really f**king gone!

Too bad, Meek could have been a voice for positive change on prison reform, but Jay Z captured and pulled him back on the plantation. Free yourselves Peeps and think for yourselves
