Love is blinder than that blindfolded lady holding those scales. When it concerns affairs of the heart all bets are off and lines of tradition or racial divide are a non issue. The differences in skin color becomes the outer covering derived from ones DNA and the personal preference of those singular two individuals personal taste. Its just not up for debate.

I don’t knock any woman who wants to date outside there race. But I love black men and their are still a lot of good black men out here and I will always date with in my race. I have dated outside my race when I was much younger when I was in college but it was just a phrase. I prefer a black man that’s just my preference.

Sometimes, especially when whatever you are or have been doing is not working out the way you planned or thought it would, you have to try something new. You have to step away from your comfort zone and find a new one. If that doesn’t work, try something else. But to be miserable for a lifetime “on principle” only hurts you, not anyone else and you end up bitter and alone. Being alone is a very powerful emotion, that as humans we have control over. Too often I hear our women talk bad about black men, and then wonder why they don’t have one (and vice versa). Very few American Black women come from a completely “black” bloodline. Perhaps what they have been trained to believe since childhood is wrong?

Unfortunately, I have to agree…most of us want a strong, loving, family oriented brother, but they are few and far between.
