Master P was asked to weigh in on Colin Kaepernick’s lawsuit alleging collusion among NFL owners to keep him off the field.

He offered an immediate solution.

“I’ll help him start his own league. I think he should, I mean he’s a great football player. I think the NFL should have some competition,” the rap mogul told TMZ.

P, real name Percy Miller, knows a little something about launching sports leagues from scratch, TMZ notes. His Global Mixed Gender Basketball league is off to an incredible start, attracting big-name talent like the Gonzalez Twins, Glen “Big Baby” Davis, and Metta World Peace.

The rapper says the only way Kaepernick can ensure his right to demonstrate any way he wants is to have some ownership.

I agree. I’ve always said if I won a lot of money I’d open a grocery store or convenience store to employ my sistas and brothers. Colin should get guys straight out of black colleges. If we keep our money in our communities we will come up in no time. Look at the local drug dealers. They employ others in the neighborhood to keep the flow in the community.

In total agreement with this….blacks contribute the most money into our economy hands down! 💯 it’s about time we make our self known as without blacks supporting the NFL, NBA etc these ppl would not be the multi millionaires they are. Whites have been profiting of the backs of black people far too long. Yes it had to be said!

its meant to be a slap in the NFL. But when someone releases him self from his own career that he worked hard for to speak for others. Blessing are coming and great men can only do what he chose to do.. Good looking out from one brother to another

  4. That will be great. Blacks need to start doing this more in sports. This why I do like Tyler Perry. He could not break into Hollywood because he was denied; and now look, Tyler started his own company which helped many of the people who he grew up watching and now they are employed by Tyler. Even Oprah’s network was save by Tyler. Talk about last laugh.

  5. That sounds like a wonderful idea. I’m sure some of the heavy hitter rappers/entertainers would join in also. Master P is correct the only way to compete and make a difference is to have ownership!!

    • there are enuf black investors and people who can invest in it and let it be “black owned”. If we start doing this more and stop thinking “whites will treat you better” (we see that is a lie. They will mistreat you as well) we can get further than we are.
