Are the green smoothies good for someone who is pre-diabetic?

I am pre-diabetic. That’s a hormonal imbalance that you can correct so that you can accelerate weight loss.  I teach how to do that in my private VIP Program HERE.

Also, you can always consult with your doctor to see what eating plan is best for you given your medical condition, but we have had diabetics have success lowering and stabilizing their blood sugar level with green smoothies.

What about the powdered greens – are they as effective?

No, they are not. Fresh greens are better. Powdered greens are helpful if you’re traveling and can’t make a green smoothie.

Is your plan/book safe for diabetics?  You can always consult with your doctor to see what eating plan is best for you given your medical condition, but we have had diabetics have success lowering and stabilizing their blood sugar level with green smoothies.

Are the smoothies meal replacement? Not all smoothies are, but my recipes are all meal replacements because they are nutritionally sound. My green smoothie recipes have protein (greens), healthy carbs (fruit) and healthy fats (flaxseeds).  So the green smoothie recipes in the book are a healthy meal replacement.

What are some reduced sugar fruits to use in green smoothies?

Sugar can definitely add up!  We have a section in the book that lists low sugar fruits that you can use in smoothies, such as apples, strawberries, blueberries. But natural sugar does not metabolize the same way as refined sugar does in the body. Why fruit works in the green smoothies is that the greens and flaxseeds slow the absorption of the sugars so they stabilize blood sugar and does not cause insulin spikes.

JJ Smith does your smoothie plan produce the same results for men as they do women?

Yes, we have thousands of men who have success on the program. You can see many of those success stories on the Facebook support group that has over 400,000 folks following the program right now.

I’ve been following a vegetarian/vegan diet. How can I get more protein and fat in my diet?

Just add in more foods that are high in protein and fat, including beans, peas, tofu, black beans, etc.

I’m actually starting the modified cleanse today. Is it OK to workout during the 10 days? Don’t wanna fallout!

YES! Chapter 8 discusses the best options. But always listen to your body. Detoxing is a time of rejuvenation and healing for the body so rest if your body wants rest.

I just got JJ’s book in the mail yesterday. So excited. What is the ACV recipe?

YAY! Expect great things from my new book, GREEN SMOOTHIES FOR LIFE. The ACV recipe is discussed in Chapter 10, 21 Detox Methods to Accelerate Fat Burning in the body. The recipe is 2 Tablespoons of ACV, with 8 ounces of spring water.

There is nothing new about this diet or any diet.. it’s just a strict low carbs diet… but you need healthy carbs to be healthy. That’s why we don’t “diet” to lose weight, we make a lifestyle change. We change our eating habits, get moving and balance our hormones to lose weight and keep it off so we never have to diet again.
