According to a reports, Janet Jackson and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, is “quietly” researching the process of “adopting a child from a third-world country.”

“She now pretty much knows pregnancy is not in the cards, so she’s been looking into adopting,” the source says. “She’s been very moved by the events in Jordan and Syria now that she’s been living overseas. Not sure how soon it will happen, but there’s been movement on this.”

According to Page Six, which was first to report the news, the 47-year-old singer/actress has reached out to Queen Rania of Jordan to help with a possible adoption.

“Janet has always been concerned about the welfare of the world’s children, and it’s important to her that she affords a baby the opportunities that have been afforded her,” a source told the paper.

Us Weekly previously reported that the musician was eager to start a family with Al Mana, whom she began dating in the summer of 2010.

“She wants kids,” an insider told Us. “If she can’t have them, she will adopt.”
