The “king of R&B” Bobby Brown is suing The National Enquirer over a story they released back in 2012 which claimed he would have remarried Whitney Houston.

Brown is suing the tabloid magazine for $1 million over the false report that he wanted to remarry the icon before her untimely death in February 2012.

The magazine also claimed that Brown was cheating on his then-fiance and current wife Alicia Etheridge with his ex-wife Houston.

The story was published 6 weeks after Houston’s death. Houston died on february 11, 2012.

Brown filed the lawsuit at the Manhattan Federal Court on Monday, March 25, 2013.

The National Enquirer has not released a statement on the suit.
