In Arizona, a charter school has come under heavy criticism for using books that feature questionable religious teachings.

The Americans United for Separation of Chuch and State, a nonprofit organization filed a complaint to the state’s school board against Mesa-based Heritage Academy for using books that teach debunked “Christian nation” history and have “sexist, racist and anti-Semitic messages.”

“The 5,000 Year Leap” and “The Making of America”, by Cleon Skousen, are reading requirements for 12th graders at Mesa-based Heritage Academy. Skousen is a conservative author known for his faith-based political theories.

Garrett Epps, law professor at the University of Baltimore, spoke to The Arizona Republic against the use of Skousen’s books in the classroom.

    1. …I’m still trying to figure out how a bunch of strong black african Kings and Queens were sold into slavery by another black African King to a bunch of white, cave-dwelling apes from Europe; and how, some 400 years later we are still being beaten in life by the cave-dwelling apes.

    2. Depraved cave n!@@ers and their indifference to the greatest atrocity in history. I sincerely hope these neanderthal apes have karma kick them in the ass. These animals should be driven back into the caves of Europe.

    3. Parents teach ur children about the history of the slave trade, all over this country they are trying to take that history completely out of the school system. Tell them the truth, who can teach ur kids better than you. GODBLESSBLACKAMERICA.

    4. We should consider reverse SLAVERY–where crackers are shackled, branded, and treated inhumanely and see how much they like it!!!!!

If teachers are not going to be honest about what SLAVERY for us entailed–then they do not need to be so called “educators” of our children!!!!!
