  • Last month, 25-year-old Ashley Depew, accused a random Black “thug” of assaulting her in a “Knockout Game” attack, but her entire story has been exposed as a lie, reports St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Depew was really hit by her boyfriend, Justin Simms, 25, and they fabricated the entire story to avoid telling their families.

As originally reported by KMOV St. Louis, Depew claimed that she was randomly sucker punched while waiting for a friend outside of a local bar.

“I dropped immediately to the ground and screaming and crying and everybody just scattered,” she said at the time to News 4’s Matt Sczesny.

Depew’s family thought the attack sounded like the “Knockout Game” that seemed to be going around—before it was determined to be a racist, sensationalized story—and they insisted on going to the police. Police Chief Sam Dotson, however, said their story was always inconsistent:

    1. When Blacks commit crimes at 3 times the rate of whites and twice the rate of Hispanics it is irrational not to profile. Black crime is a BLACK problem. Until the race baiters who make a very good living from fomenting racial division are repudiated by the black community, this will continue. Sorry, the “knockout game” is largely a black phenomenon, so it is very believable this could happen. Don’t continue to blame whitey when you live in a dirty house. Clean up your own mess.

    2. I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the Black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature make them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their dedication to exceptional civic values, stable traditional families, parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture and their unflagging pride in maintaining exemplary clean, neat and orderly homes. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people.

Property values are boosted and energized by the entry of African Americans into an area thanks to the caring and sincere respect they show for these communities, their absolute dedication to lives of law abiding peaceful neighborliness, and the examples of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self improvement by hard work and a self-reliant, can-do culture of integrity and honor. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.

    3. False accusations are terrible no matter who is involved but that doesn’t change facts and statistics as far as the “knockout game” or other crime. The media actually has failed to report or glossed over crimes committed by blacks against whites. It is apparently only racism when it is white against black. It seems that the so called “black leaders” are a bit tongue tied when it comes to black on white crime. When was the last march or boycott organized by the Sharpton/ Jackson B.S. machine in support of a crime against a white person. Well, that doesn’t serve their wallets and face time of course. Keeping the embers of racial tension burning keeps them in business despite the fact that in the real world, race relations are better today than ever before.

    4. How about false claims by Blacks against Whites? How about Twana and her false claims of rape by multiple white men? How about the black stripper claims against the Duke lacross players? Liars are liars no matter the color. Too many films not to acknowledge that the knockout game exists. Let’s admit it and stop it.
