  • Researchers now believe that low to moderate drinking is “safe” during pregnancy.

A study conducted by Danish researchers suggests that women who consume one to eight alcoholic beverages a week would not cause harm to their child.

The study, published in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, did not find any signs of neurological or developmental effects from drinking in children up to the age of five.

Women in the UK are encouraged not to drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy while those who do should limit it to one or two per week.
