The LaSalle County Coroner's Office has officially declared that 25-year-old Illinois State University college student Jelani Day died as a result of drowning in the Illinois River where his remains were found on September 4.

It appears the search for Brian Laundrie, the main suspect in the death of 22-year-old travel blogger Gabby Petito, has now come to an end after human remans recently found near some of his belongings tested positive for his DNA.
