A Houston woman is making national headlines after giving birth to six babies in nine minutes on Friday, according to The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.

Thelma Chiaka is now the proud mother of two sets of twin boys and one set of twin girls, born at weights ranging from 1 pound, 12 ounces to 2 pounds, 14 ounces. The Woman’s Hospital of Texas said in a news release that the mother is doing well and the babies are in stable condition. They will continue to receive care in the hospital’s advanced neonatal intensive care unit.

The hospital noted in a statement that the chances of Thelma giving birth to sextuplets was one in 4.7 billion.

The statement read:

“The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, an HCA Houston Healthcare Affiliate, which delivers more babies than any other Texas hospital, early this morning welcomed sextuplets, the odds of which are estimated at one in 4.7 billion.

“Two sets of twin boys and one set of twin girls were born this morning between 4:50 and 4:59 a.m.

“The babies were born at weights ranging from one pound, 12 ounces and two pounds, 14 ounces. They are in stable condition and will continue to receive care in the hospital’s advanced neonatal intensive care unit.

“The medical team of Dr. Ziad Haidar, Dr. Sharmeel Khaira and Dr. Israel Simchowitz say the mother, Thelma Chiaka, is doing well.”

The hospital also shared a photo of the newly famous mother and the delivery team, led by Dr Ziad Haidar, Dr Sharmeel Khaira and Dr Israel Simchowitz.

Thelma reportedly named her daughters Zina and Zuriel. However, at the time of this report, her boys remained nameless.

  1. Me, she is always this ignorant but what’s to be expected from inbred trailer trash – – that really is the level of her thinking.

Kids are a blessing. I wish black people could see that. They don’t need expensive shoes and fancy clothes. They need love, family and faith in God. Biological is nice, but those that have the means consider adoption. Ooh wee…..that family is blessed.Congratulations!!

God bless her and those 6 precious miracles, but I can’t help but to wonder what I’m sure many others are wondering: Where is the father? 😟

Girl, and I mean that literally, I don’t recall you calling the white Octomom, (Nadya Suleman), who had 8 babies at one time a welfare queen. I also don’t recall the father’s name. Oh! that’s right, there wasn’t one. She went to a sperm bank. She was depending on handouts, in addition to the state taking care of her and her brood of 14 kids in all. Hmmmm…sounds like a serious welfare queen to me. She even tried porn and was mediocre at that. How bad can she be that she couldn’t even succeed at f*cking? I believe she also tried boxing. Maybe someone should have knocked some sense into her. When that didn’t pan out, she turned to drugs and Xanax. If I’m not mistaken, she also had some charges brought against her for child endangerment and child exploitation. What?!!!!! Child Exploitation! Say it ain’t so!! What a great role model for her brood of 14! Please go sit down somewhere, Felecia!

  5. Good luck for all babies.
