Once again, Trump’s White House is proving that they have serious issues with Black women.

Case in point: Veteran journalist April Ryan has not been invited to their annual Holiday party, despite having been a guest at this fête for the past twenty years under several different presidents.

The NAACP tweeted this news on Wednesday.

In an interview, Ryan told The Washington Post, “I don’t think I was overlooked. I think they don’t like me. For whatever reason, they have disdain for me.”

But she was also very clear: She’s not pressed.

“[Trump] has the right to invite whoever he wants. He chose not to invite me. I’m good.”

Clearly, her not being invited may have also had something to do with her recent tension with White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Just over Thanksgiving break, Sanders tweeted a picture of a pie that she claims she baked.

Ryan didn’t believe her and asked her to tweet a picture of it on her table.

This apparently got under Sanders skin. #Snowflake.

Notably, Ryan isn’t the only journalist who won’t be attending #45’s party. CNN, who Ryan also works for, announced that as an organization they have chosen to sit this year out.

But there’s a huge difference between making a choice to not attend an event after being invited and being dissed by the White House because they are afraid of a powerful Black woman who has the audacity to ask the tough questions.

  1. This has nothing to do with SHS… This has Omarosa written all over it!!! They had beef awhile back and I’m sure this is where it came from.

  2. Sarah should have taken the time to prove she wasn’t lying to Ms. Ryan about baking a pie and sent a picture of the dang pie sitting on the Thanksgiving table. (As if you can’t plunk a store bought pie down a table). Of course, Ms. Ryan could have just sent a message saying “looks good” or not said anything at all. She probably still would not have been invited, but at least she wouldn’t look like such a weirdo, asking someone to prove they baked a friggn’ pie. Talk about petty.

  3. I doubt if April Ryan will be shedding any tears because she was not invited to Chump’s PLANTATION.

Knowing Chump, he would’ve put a maid’s uniform on April and had her serving the quests at the damn party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Screw Chump with a GIANT BROOMSTICK!!!!!!

  4. first of all Mini-me is not a powerful black woman if her stature were that great she would be on the first or second row in the press room: second she had NO intention of going she’s just miffed that she wasn’t invited so she could publicly announce she wasn’t going to attend, the WH just nipped her in the bud

  5. All over a pie. Don’t lie did you bake the pie? You know how you lie for your massa, so why would one not think your lying about pie. Not that it matters one way or the other.
