Don’t let the heaviness of this week’s political debacles get you down, here are six things to hopefully put a smile on your face.

(P.S. We’re aiming for the opposite of this ^^^^^^^)

1. You’ve got a pug in me.

Now who wants to see the big dog give the little dog a back scratch?.. just me… OK.

2. Black Girl Magic strikes again.

19-year-old Mary-Pat Hector made a splash this week after she became the youngest woman to run for office in Georgia.

Read all about her amazing story here.

3. The things we can do when we work together.

A substitute mechanic steps up for a family in need after he notices a mother struggling to bring her wheelchair bound daughter up and down the stairs of her front porch.

4. We’ve all been there.

Okay, maybe you never got yourself stuck on the back of a moving trash truck but I’m sure at least once in your life you got yourself into a tricky situation where all you could was just hold on for dear life (literally or figuratively).

5. U-N-I-T-Y

Where’s Queen Latifah when you need her. One basketball team set the perfect example of what unity means after they opted to forfeit the rest of their season because the girls on their team were told they couldn’t play in the final games of the year.

6. Raise them up.

One dad is receiving a lot of praise (and some hate) after revealing the reason why he still puts in the extra effort with his ex-wife.

See you next week! This is a weekly series posted every Friday. Missed last week’s edition? Check it out here.
