I Am Not Your Negro is the story of literary giant James Baldwin‘s personal account of the assassinations of his friends, Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcom X and Medgar Evers. The Academy Award nominated Director Raoul Peck talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the historical film and Baldwin’s importance and legacy.

“I couldn’t do less than what Baldwin did himself. It’s a very provocative title but I wanted to call it exactly what the film was.”

I Am Not Your Negro is in theaters nationwide. Click the link below to hear the entire interview.
