Yahoo Finance says it accidentally tweeted out a racial epithet when promoting a story about the cost of President-elect Donald Trump’s plans to increase the size of the U.S. Navy.

The headline for the story on Yahoo Finance is, “Trump Wants a Much Bigger Navy: Here’s How Much It’ll Cost.” But when it was tweeted Thursday, the word “bigger” had an ‘n’ as its first letter instead of a ‘b.’

The tweet was deleted and Yahoo Finance tweeted an apology , chalking up the mishap to a spelling error. A company spokeswoman referred to the statement when asked for further comment.

Yahoo’s mistake quickly became a trending topic on Twitter.

The cave n!@@ers at yahoo don’t care about this tweet. These insincere neanderthal apes can’t apologize for their inherent nature. They should have never been let out of the caves of Europe.

You know People, there needs to be a limit to the drama. EVERYONE is supposedly sooooo freaking sensitive about EVERYTHING!! It’s getting very old! It was a typo. So what??? I love the humor that came after, but anything more is pretentous. Let’s stop ACTING like we are so offended People. And that is for everyone. We can’t even read the labels in the crayon box without someone seeking a money hungry lawyer. People can’t express their preferenceswithout someone being hurt. It has gotten to be a real major issue, when it shouldn’t be an issue at all.

I’m not surprised! I stopped using Yahoo when Obama got reelected in 2012! Their racist rhetoric was enough for me to disconnect after 20 years

  4. WOW! lol. OMG funny as hell. See, right here! “when social media goes wrong” It’s only a matter of time before that magic finger tweetin’ orange clown will make the same type of mistake or worse. You can’t run a country on social media. He needs to grow the hell up.
YES, I consider YAHOO a social media platform, not real news, anything goes.

    • Ummm, you think you sound black but I am laughing at you. Just because your face isn’t showing doesn’t mean you are not exposed #CultureLargerThanWords.
