Rapper Shawty Lo has reportedly been killed in a hit and run in Atlanta.
Born Carlos Walker, the Atlanta native is widely known for his 2008 smash Dey Know. He also founded the super group D4L that same year.
In 2013 the rapper was thrust back in the spolight when word of a reality show that chronicled he and his 10 baby mamas and 11 children would be showcased on Oxygen in a one-hour reality program “All My Babies’ Mamas”. Due to a resounding number of complaints the network executives pulled the plug.
Hours before what would be his last post, the rapper was on Instagram headed to a popular Atlanta strip club.
According to GDOT, reports that Walker’s vehicle was struck by another vehicle while on I-285 southbound at Cascade Road. Walker’s car hit two trees before catching on fire. Authorities say one person died after being ejected, and two others were transported to the hospital. They are now reporting that the 2016 Audi rolled over and hit two trees, causing a fire.
Shawty Lo was 40. Our prayers are with his family and friends.
