WATCH: Princess Jackson Wants to Sock Out Poverty


Sybil Wilkes sits down with a remarkable teen who is helping the homeless one sock at a time.

13-year-old Princess Jackson with the help of her mother launched her non-profit organization Sock Out Poverty at only 9-years-old. Based in Houston, Texas, the organization donates socks to the homeless community. So far, over 8,000 pairs of socks have been donated.

    Now, this is what we need to read more of. We quite often read negative stories about Black youth, but there are more Black youth doing positive things, such as this. May her and Mom’s organization continue to thrive.
