Horoscopes for the week of August 10th
Because seeing you again would feel like a piece of me returned.
My Anam Cara Jamie validated that I was on the right path to love when she said, “Listening to your heart about a specific person, over your desire to be with a person, is a big deal.” I got that. What she meant was that oftentimes we focus on the end goal of being in a relationship, without considering whether or not the other person is worthy of our heart’s investment. There is much pressure these days to marry, find companionship, and not be alone, that questions surrounding what it means to be with another are overlooked, e.g., do I see myself building a fruitful life with this person; do I trust this person to honor and accept me as I am; do I fully accept and honor this person as they are.
In my blog “The Summer of Love,” I told the story of two individuals who met and fell madly in love. However, once the chemistry between them began to wane, they found themselves left with only time and space to contemplate their affections and intentions. It was unclear what would come from this momentary pause. But it was certain that by the fall, these two lovebirds would eventually decide to either continue their whirlwind romance, or, enter into…the friend zone (eeek!).
Venus Retrograde has already brought a couple of surprises in love – from the split of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage, to the secret nuptials of Jennifer Anniston and Justin Theroux. Even Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy have parted ways! No doubt, we will all be contemplating affairs of the heart – both old and new – and Jupiter’s entry in to the sign of Virgo this Tuesday will ensure that we do not gloss over any fine print. Remember, Jupiter tends to magnify our life experience.
