Floyd Mayweather has filed new papers in his legal battle against ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson, in part claiming he did not violate her right to privacy by discussing her abortion in detail on social media … because their relationship was already in the public eye, reports TMZ.

Jackson sued the boxer earlier this year for assault, battery, defamation, invasion of privacy and more.

Floyd is trying to get the several claims dismissed. In new legal documents, he focused on her claim that he violated her right to privacy. His intro is vintage Mayweather:

“At age 37 I am an undefeated boxer. I have been the world champion in five different weight divisions.”

According to TMZ, he goes on to explain that when he met Jackson, “she asked me to help her become famous,” and stated that her only claim to fame was appearing in 7 music videos.

Mayweather says he used his celebrity to give her some press. He says they became so famous, people were interested in every aspect of their relationship, including the breakup…which is why Floyd says he went to social media earlier this year and told the world he ended things with Shantel because she had an abortion behind his back.

“Both parties are public figures. Abortion is a public issue,” Mayweather states in his filing.

He adds, “A public figure involved with another public figure in a public relationship can expect publicity, not privacy, about why it ends.”

Mayweather wants the suit thrown out. A judge has yet to rule.

I can’t see it being a HIPAA violation unless the information was obtained from her medical records if he worked in the office that had the records or if one of the healthcare providers gave out the information.

This case is not about abortion or a HIPPA privacy act. Plain and simple, this case is about 2 people trying to win a domestic case that involves a while lot of money. This isnt about black men, white men, black women or men either. Ever since these public domestic cases have taken place it is Unfortunately mud slinging seems to win the day. Not only in public opinion but it also rools over into the courtroom and the Judges who ( although they would never admit it) are also influenced by this hearsay. Women have been doing this from the get go, telling every itty bitty secret and every private detail about the men they have been with which has led to winning considerable amounts of mnney$$$ every chance they get. And not only does America buy into it, they applaud these women when they tell of these private moments. Now, when the script has flipped all of a sudden everyone wants to cry foul. That is hypocrisy. I have no idea on whether or not what this man said is legal or not.
Perhaps he did overstep his bounds. If so, we have seen people do this for a long time now. Maybe both men and women ought to stop mudslinging and digging up dirt every time we think it is going to lead to a huge payday

Black men should NEVER offer an opinion on abortion…one way or another. Why?? Because black men don’t raise at least 85% of the black children they already created. CONCENTRATE on raising YOUR BLACK CHILDREN, first and…then…and only then…should you offer an opinion on abortion.

GOOD BOXER, STUPID MAN! Just because one dates a celebrity, does not automatically make them a celebrity/Public Figure. Broadcasting your former girlfirend/Fiance’ medical records –abortion procedure– Mayweather violated HIIPA, her privacy and opened her up to undue ridicule. He will be accountable for that MESS legally and if his Atty tells him otherwise, he is making a fool out of him!
