T.I. has been bitten by the acting bug again and will be co-starring in a new major studio superhero film, “Ant-Man,” along with Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas.
Rudd will play the title character Scott Lang and Douglas will play the mentor of the current Ant-Man as Dr. Hank Pym. So will T.I. play a superhero himself? That’s the burning question.
He couldn’t reveal too many details about his role in the film, but he did confirm he will be playing “a superhero’s homeboy.” Hmm…
It sounds like T.I. could be playing a friend of Lang’s in the Marvel Studios film. No word yet if the character is straight from the comics or created for the film. There’s no word yet if the character will be human or superhuman.
Nevertheless, the film underwent rewrites from Rudd and Adam McKay after director Edgar Wright left the project in May due to creative differences with Marvel. Peyton Reed is now directing.
Yet the film will be released on Friday, July 17, 2015. And according to IMDB, it’s about con-man turned superhero Scott Lang who helps his mentor Dr. Hank Pym pull off a heist in order to save the world.
