John Crawford III was a young man who was talking on the phone and minding his own business in a Beavercreek, Ohio Walmart when a witness by the name of Ronald Ritchie called the local police on him.

The “witness” Ronald Ritchie, told a 911 dispatcher that he saw Crawford loading a weapon but the video shows that this never happened. In fact Ritchie lied and said Crawford was pointing the gun at children. This never happened either.

Upon being confronted with the facts shown in the store surveillance video, Ritchie later recanted the story that he gave to 911 officials.

Crawford clearly intended to buy the bee bee gun that was in his hands. He never appears to be using it for any sort of nefarious means.

John Crawford III’s family and supporters demanded that the tape of the situation be released. After the judgement it finally was.

Take a look at the disturbing video below.

The Special Prosecutor for the case said the grand jury considered charges of murder, reckless homicide and negligent homicide.

This is not the end of this story as the case has been handed over to the Department Of Justice for review.
