Chris Brown was quick to come out and squash reports that he and his entourage were involved in a bottle-throwing brawl at a New York Fashion Week after party…despite multiple reports to the contrary.
TMZ cites law enforcement sources who say “they are not sure if Chris was directly involved … but a witness tells us he was in the club, in a V.I.P. section, when the brawl broke out.”
As previously reported, the New York Daily News reports of one injury. “A man hit by a shard of glass at the VIP Club at 409 W. 13th St. was in stable condition with an eye injury at Beth Israel Hospital”
HollywoodLife.com is reporting that Chris was definitely not involved in the fight.
“Chris Brown had nothing to do with the fight. He wasn’t even standing in the vicinity,” the source dished. “A fight broke out between a promoter, a waitress, and a drunk obnoxious table. Chris was in the club at the time but he was not involved at all.”
The source continues: “Six guys were at a table and the waitress came over. The group was being very disorderly, knocking into her and spilling drinks. When she confronted the drunk men one of their girlfriends stood up and tried to get in her face and security rushed over to break it up. So did a promoter — and that’s when the guys got rowdy, too. Someone got cut.
“No charges have been pressed. The next thing you would hear about if anything would be if there’s an arrest.”
And finally, Chris took to Twitter to address the rumors himself, claiming there was no brawl at all.
