Dear Tom,
My mom Elaine is really my great-aunt. She adopted my brother Tyreke and me back in 2003 when I was just one year old. She raised her two children all by herself and they have blessed her 7 grandchildren.
I am 12 now and my brother is 15 and she does her best to provide us with whatever we need. She used to work at the Anheuser-Busch beer factory but had to retire after 20 years due to a major surgery.
She recovered quickly and went to right back to work at the saint Elizabeth adult daycare. She is a care provider and activity aide for senior citizens. She has been there for over 7-and-a-half years.
She is a helpful, nice, inspiring woman and makes us all feel that as long as she is around, we won’t ever have to worry about anything. She tries her best to do all she can do to take care of me and the rest of the family and I love her so much.
Her older brother lives in San Diego and she has not seen him in a very long time. I know she really misses him and phone calls are not enough. You just don’t know how happy she’ll be if you can get her on a plane.
