George Zimmerman is living anything but well nowadays.

In an interview with the Univision show “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) that aired Sunday, the former neighborhood watchman revealed that he is currently homeless as well as battling post-traumatic stress disorder.

When asked about the Trayvon Martin case, Zimmerman mentioned that he called the police prior to getting into the fight the led to Martin’s death and that Martin attacked and threatened to kill him.

“He (Martin) saw my gun and told me he would kill me, and I knew he was telling the truth. I mean, was not playing,” recalled Zimmerman, who was acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in July. “I asked him to stop …. And the young man did not care. Continued attacking … I knew he would not stop even though I knew that someone had seen (the fight) and the police are coming. He did not care.”

Zimmerman added that he during his altercation with Martin, he didn’t think he initially shot Martin and that the bullet went through the side of his clothes and towards a neighbor’s house. The fight with Martin stopped immediately after the bullet was fired from Zimmerman’s gun, he said,

As for whether he thought he did the right thing, Zimmerman reinforced his answer to the question by stating that “in my mind and between God and me … I know that if I did not act the way I acted … I would not be here.”

Despite raising $350,000 online to pay for his defense during the Trayvon Martin trial, Zimmerman told “Aquí y Ahora” that the trial has resulted in him being $2.5 million in debt.

Before the interview ended, Zimmerman thanked those who supported him financially with donations.

“[To] those people I owe my freedom, because without them we could not have the experts we had, we could not have paid for the documents we [needed],” he said.

Since his acquittal, Zimmerman admitted that he is not working and has lost his health insurance. In addition, Zimmerman detailed wearing a bullet proof vest and following a safety plan when he goes out in public in light of him living in fear that his life is in danger.

  1. Here’s a thought…why doesn’t the media stop reporting about “poor old George” and his problems and the rest of us can stop reading and giving a s**t about it? That way he can go ahead and fade into oblivion and the rest of the world can move on. BTW George, God really DOES know what happened that night, and when the time comes you won’t be able to stand behind “stand your ground”. Hope you invested in some really good asbestos drawers.

  2. Here is my thoughts, This is Black History Month and this is the month we should be Educating our Black Males about the justice I mean the Un-justice system thats against them and celebrating the life of our ancestors. The Killer is using our month our time to commemerate our Ancestors and History as a distraction. This is all a mind game and this Killer is using every opportunity to distract us and keep us using his name to promote as a free promotion package. On January 15th 2014 he announced that he wanted to do a Celebrity Boxing Match, on Trayvon Martin birthday he announced the Celebrity Boxing match is official. The killer of Jordan Davis got a slap on the wrist by getting attempted murder two days before his birthday. Since we all petition Trayvon’s Killer and no promotor isn’t stepping up anymore he using this opportunity to tell the world he is homeless and all these other BS going on in his life. Its February its our time we need to continue to repost our ancestors, educating our black boys to be productive, self-educate, stop the nigga-fication 101 and using the N word. White America or should I say AmeriKKKa don’t believe black life is worth something but we do so its our job to start with our own and stop promoting these killers especially by using their name because its seems no one isn’t using Trayvon or Jordan names as much. Lets keep Jordan and Trayvon name alive and kill the other two by not using it.

  3. Afraid to walk down the street without being shot, afraid of the police, discriminated against for employment, feared and hated by people he’s never met. I don’t think Zimmerman wanted to understand the plight of black Americans quite this intimately.

So much for electing to be the town hero (who got to have his very own real gun) going around rounding up all them ‘undesirables….’ The irony is too cruel and bitter, but there’s always a book deal to be had…?

  4. Start working from home! Great job for students, stay-at-home moms or anyone needing an extra income… You only need a computer and a reliable internet connection… Make $90 hourly and up to $12000 a month by following link at the bottom and signing up… You can have your first check by the end of this week……….

He’s only suffering because of his wrong doing. He walked away from his blessing. We tried providing him a home for LIFE with 3 meals a day and 1 hour of recreation all for free. But he fought not to stay there. So now what do he want?

  6. He has the OJ Syndrome he will end up in jail or dead, he just can’t keep silent, he is determined to make a “star” of himself

Why don’t his family, ex wife, baby momma, those who testified for him, his friends, supporters and the jurors who let him go free give him a place to stay? He’s a looser, a free loader, he’s a crazy, a menance to society and a walking time bomb.

Yes, you all are correct. This is just the beginning of his troubles. My guess is that Zimmerman wil continue down thispath of ignorance and neanderthl behaviour unless and until he gets down on his knees and admits he is a killer. Unfortunately his intrerviews dont give any indication he is movng in that direction. He is looking to be absolved by the media. The only one who can truly absolve him is Jesus Christ. That takes repentance and he isnt ready for that. One additional problem he has is that there are a considerable amount of bigots and racists who applauded hs actions. That has given him a false sense of comfort. Some, have even found their way to this website for the sole purpose of adding hateful and racist comments into these discussions. In advance of these super right wing numnuts, let mejust say Ignore Them. They arent worth responding too. God is tormenting Zimmermanin a way that we could never think up. That is why he says “vengeance is mine”
