Katt Williams will not serve jail time for his police chase last fall, TMZ reports.
The comedian was originally charged with felony vehicle code violation for evading police, but he pleaded no contest to reduced misdemeanor charge in court on Thursday. The actor received a sentence of 428 hours of community service to be completed in nine months.
“Mr. Williams looks forward to working with the community and moving on with his life,” said his attorney Richard Schonfeld.
In November, police chased Williams through the streets of Sacramento, where he was riding on a three-wheeled motorcycle on the wrong side of the road and on the sidewalk. Williams was also arrested in December after an altercation at a Seattle bar.
