It’s a pop/funk fusion and everything we’d expect from a collaboration between music heavyweights Janelle Monae and Erykah Badu!

The soulful songstresses recently dropped a new single called “Q.U.E.E.N.,”  and it’s sure to go down in history as one of music’s legendary collabos.

“Q.U.E.E.N.’ was inspired by private discussions between Erykah and me,” Janelle revealed to her nearly 400,000 Twitter followers. “It is meant to make you JAM. DANCE. FUNK OUT. and dialogue later.”

The duet is the first single lifted from Ms. Monae’s forthcoming sophomore album The Electric Lady, which she describes as her latest piece of nonfiction.

“Every album is a book. Every song is a chapter. The next book is called The Electric Lady. The first chapter is called ‘Q.U.E.E.N.” she wrote.

Looks like Janelle  and Erykah are on their way to a summer takeover.

Check out the track below and let us know if you love it as much as we do!
