Tia Mowry-Hardrict has landed a new show deal with Nickelodeon.
According to reports, the network has greenlighted 13 episodes of the 34-year-old’s new pilot, “Instant Mom.” The series is set to air on Nickelodeon’s new primetime TV block aimed at mothers called NickMom.
Tia will star as Stephanie, a party girl who marries an older man and inherits three stepchildren. The show will follow her as she learns to adapt to life as a stepmom and balance her old party girl ways.
“This show has a fantastic cast and at the center is Tia bringing all her warmth and talent to this funny and relatable character,” NickMom senior vice president Bronwen O’Keefe said in a statement. “Instant Mom is the perfect addition to our NickMom nighttime comedy block designed to let moms unwind from the day and laugh at the often hilarious experiences of parenthood.”
“Instant Mom” will be the first scripted series for NickMom, and also one of the few projects Tia will star in without her twin sister Tamara.
A premiere date has yet to be announced, but in the meanwhile we are sending Tia our biggest congratulations!
