Emma McQuiston is set to be Britain’s first black Marchioness in England. A Marchiness is a noblewoman ranking above a countess and below a duchess. She is also called a marquise. She is going to wed Ceawlin Thynne, the 38-year-old Viscount of Weymouth. The 26-year-old celebrity chef and British actress is the daughter of Nigerian oil baron Ladi Jadesimi. McQuiston will first be a viscountess, and will become the Marchioness of Bath when her husband inherits the title.

The new Marchioness is set to live with her new husband in their Longleat House and its 100,000 acre estate. McQuiston met the Viscount when she was four years old. She and her family often attended holiday events at the family estate. She has told the press that she has encountered racism from Britain’s prominent rich and snobbery from the upper class.

While McQuiston will be brought into royalty, her new father-in-law, Alexander Thynn, the seventh Marquess of Bath, has a reputation of being a womanizer. He has been known to have a “harem of wifelets.” When the new Marchioness takes her new home, she plans to redecorate, which will include removing her father-in-law-to-be’s Kama Sutra room. She has also stated that she doesn’t expect her husband to take on his father’s traits.

Emma McQuiston has been featured on the cover of one of the UK’s most exclusive society magazines, the Tatler. She expressed a desire to have children right away.
