“Project Runway” host Heidi Klum is turning her back on marriage.

In the new issue of Marie Claire, the former runway model says she has no interest in walking down the aisle as a bride again.

Last April, Klum filed for divorce from her husband Seal after six years of marriage. Prior to their tumultuous split, the two renewed their vows every year on their anniversary. Although Klum is in love again with her bodyguard-turned-boyfriend Martin Kirsten, she doesn’t see marriage in their future.

“I don’t think so. No. No,” Klum told reporters. “I wanted to keep the memory of our wedding alive every year, that’s why I thought it would be fun to get married over and over. But now I don’t think it’s that important. I’m not angry about anything, but I don’t think I will. Maybe if I’m with someone for 15 or 20 years, and we do it in our old age as a fun thing to do … But I don’t have the urgency anymore.”

Klum and British-born singer Seal had four children together including Klum’s daughter with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore.

“People say, ‘Oh, God, how devastating to go through a divorce. Did I wish for this to happen to my family? No. But everyone is healthy we’re moving on with our lives,” Klum said. “If someone got [very sick], God forbid, that would be a real problem. It’s not what I wanted – it’s not what anyone wanted – but it’s not a real problem.”

Even though Klum is one of the world’s most popular sex symbols, she hasn’t warmed up to the idea of being a “cougar.”

“I can understand why a woman finds a young man attractive, because the truth is that when men get older, their shape changes,” she said. “Younger men train more, and when the clothes come off, it is nice to look at a sexy, ripped body. But I am realistic. I’m turning 40 next year; I don’t think I could deal with waking up next to a 25-year-old.”

  1. Maybe if she had married someone worth waking up with and enjoying what she saw, she wouldn’t be so down on marriage. Her marriage to Seal was an in-your-face farce. A beautiful, solid white mare had no business being married to a scarred-up seal. They blended together about like brown shoes with a black suit.

    • To number 1 (John Spurdock) SHAME ON YOU!. Thank you for launching our nation backward a few hundred years where cancerous racial prejudiced prevailed. I cannot believe that in this day and age there are still people out there with such ignorant and simple minded thinking. We are a nation that send our sons and daughters to other nations to ensure that all people enjoy equality, freedom and are free from racial persecution. Our nation stands on a belief that prejudice against race, religion, sexual preference, etc. is archaic acts like a cancer among human beings across the world. I can only pray that you do not have any children or grandchildren and that you do not work with youth in any capacity so that you do not hand down your criminal, poisonous views. Our country fought long and hard and suffered great milestones to abolish your type of thinking…you should truly be ashamed of yourself. If I were to act like you and judge others superficially, I would have to say that a self proclaimed “solid white mare” might look at the person in the picture and see that perhaps you shouldn’t be placing judgment on anybody’s flaws without firs acknowledging your own. SHAME ON YOU!!!! I pray there will come a day when human eyes are blind to everything except the soul of another being, realizing that we are ONE PEOPLE, ONE RACE….called…the HUMAN race!!!!!!!

  2. She has been there and done it – and it is definitely not what she wants anymore. Her children seem to be doing fine. She is a successful and wealthy business woman and can take care of them very well. Her children are her ultimate first love. At the present time, she is happy, healthy and in love with a good guy.

  3. ” as a fun thing to do …”

I kind of think she’s missing the real point of getting married here. She seems to look at it as an excuse to throw a PARTY, instead of a serious commitment.
