Snoop Dogg is taking folks to ch’uch with his latest release, a gospel album titled “Bible of Love.”
Although the album is curated by Snoop, the rapper isn’t featured on every track. He recruited the likes of Faith Evans, Tye Tribbett, Rance Allen and the Clark Sisters to handle vocals.
Snoop dropped videos for five of the songs from the project on Friday (Feb. 2), one day after he joined Evans and Tribbett for his 19th annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. The concert was filmed for a one-hour TV special to air Saturday at 11 p.m. ET on BET.
“Bible of Love” is due March 16. Watch the first videos and teasers below:
Shot inside of a church, the video for “Words Are Few” features Snoop praying and singing with B Slade, formerly known as Tonéx, on the chorus and vocals. “When my words are few, things ain’t what they seem, feeling like I’m fooling me, I know God is calling me, I’m not where I’m supposed to be,” he raps.
Snoop also remixed the Clark Sisters’ original “Blessed and Highly Favored” with a more uptempo beat for the album.
