The latest in Empire‘s glass house of problems is Marvin Gaye’s son claiming that the show was actually his idea, according to B. Scott.

This follows a $300 million suit by a woman in Detroit who is claiming the same thing. Citing TMZ, B.Scott reports that Gaye III claimed he registered a show called “Diamonds & Ballads” in the Writers Guild of America in 2010.

The way the story is uncovered – with a dynasty type of family that is involved in the music industry, was Gaye’s idea. Gaye believes that due to Daniel’s connections his pitch to the Writers Guild must have been leaked, and is set to sue Daniels, Fox, and others.

Time to get your house in order Mr. Daniels because where there is smoke there’s fire.
