Larry Wilmore probably said it best: If you want us to stop talking about racism, then stop being racist. Race plays a huge role in Chris Rock‘s work, and his run-ins with the cops are prime examples why.
Rock has been pulled over a ridiculous three times in the past two months. To be fair, Rock could be just a bad driver. He mentions he wasn’t even driving the second time, however, so that’s clearly not the case.
It’s worth nothing that Rock captions two of the three incidents with “wish me luck.” Tersely humorous, but sad: That’s just how it goes in America.
