Troubled teen rap star Chief Keef (pictured) was slapped with a child support lawsuit from an eighth-grader who is alleging that he fathered her 14-month-old baby, TMZ reports.
Keef, whose actual name is Keth Cozart, is named as the defendant is a suit that reportedly seeks day care expenses, health insurance, out-of-pocket health expenses, retroactive child support and the payment of legal fees that were incurred by the child’s mother, who had to have been around 12 or 13-years-old when she conceived the baby.
Though, according to TMZ, criminal action may not be taken on the young rapper:
In Illinois, it is considered a misdemeanor for two people under the age of 17 to have sex … even if they’re in a consensual relationship. When both parties are between 9 and 17 years old, the older person commits a crime called “criminal sexual abuse.”
Punishment for the crime includes a max sentence of one year in jail … and a requirement to register as a sex offender for ten years — but in reality, these cases are almost never prosecuted.
The most likely scenario in which Keef would face a judge is if the girl’s parents press charges — but if that hasn’t already happened, it probably won’t.

Keef has not only been making headlines with his music but his personal life has taken a serious hit or two recently. He was arrested on January 15 when a judge ruled that a video of him shooting a semi-automatic rifle at a New York range violated a 2011 gun conviction probation. As a result, Keef was sentenced to serve 60-days at an Illinois juvenile detention center two days later.

The latest lawsuit for the young rapper comes on the heels of yet another one that was filed late last month for $75,000, which accuses him of being a no-show at a London concert.
