Tom Joyner’s Two-Year Notice
Many BAW fans were sad to hear about Tom Joyner’s departure from the show that made him an icon, even though he announced it a full two years before it’s happening. This extended notice meant two things – there will be at least 2 Fantastic Voyages left and that people have the chance to say Goodbye, which doesn’t always happen when someone announces plans to step down from a brand they’ve created. Thanks for giving us a heads up early, Tom, and we know it won’t be the last we hear from you. We’re all looking forward to your next step.

Who knew that that many of you were interested in seeing comedian Luenell naked? It appears the grown and sexy comedienne has quite a few fans out there, because when she decided to (tastefully) pose in the buff, it became one of your top stories of the year. Luenell said she wanted to empower women of all ages and sizes and it looks like that’s just what she did.

We’re not quite sure why BAW readers are obsessed with nudes of let’s say, some unlikely folks. When Tiger Woods‘ nude photos leaked, they nearly broke the internet in some Kardashian-like ways. Would you have bet that that many people wanted to see Tiger Woods naked? Well, we guess he had more fans than we thought.
Charlie Murphy Dies
Sadly, comedian Charlie Murphy who will forever be known as not only Eddie Murphy’s hilarious brother but as the narrator of one of the funniest Prince stories ever, passed away this year after a battle with leukemia. His death caught many by surprise as Charlie had a full slate of projects in 2017, including a turn on Power and on the BET show, The Comedy Get Down.’ We feel for two his children, who have now lost both parents prematurely to cancer.
Halle Berry Pregnant?
Halle Berry stepped out on a red carpet this year, and controversy ensued. Clad in a form-fitting silver dress, Berry, 51, and already the mother of 2 showcased what looked to be a growing baby bump. Whether you wanted her to be pregnant or questioned why she was pregnant and who the baby daddy was, it turned out Berry had just had a delicious dinner prior to her red carpet appearance. She took the speculation in stride, laughing about it on Instagram.
Wendy Williams Charges Guests?
Talk show host Wendy Williams was the subject of some controversy this year, from her appearance in a bikini to the allegations her husband was cheating on her with a younger woman. Yet BAW readers wanted to know how much she allegedly charges for appearances on her show. Is it that some of you are hoping to save up to come on the show? Hmmm.
Tami Roman Pops Off At Xscape
Instead of her fighting skills, Tami Roman showed off a comical side this year with her hilarious Bonnet Chronicles. Would you believe the skits have their own Instagram account with 1.7 million followers? Well, done Tami!
