The presidential candidates are everywhere – debates, forums, town halls, rallies – EVERYWHERE.

You cannot turn on the TV, especially cable news, without seeing them.

Just last night there were extended interviews with John Kasich, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump on Fox News.

CNN, last night, had extended interviews with all of the candidates, including Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.

You know the one person who may be kind of happy about that is the person who’s job all of them are trying to get; President Barack Obama.

While the five of them are out on the stump tearing each other apart, the President is taking the opportunity away from the media spotlight to get his presidential bucket list done.

Let’s start with the latest, Cuba.

Mister Obama is the first U.S. President to visit the island nation since the 1928 and since the 1959 revolution against a U.S. backed authoritarian government.

Despite the strained relations in all those decades, the President said he firmly believes, “Change is going to come to Cuba.”

“For more than half a century the sight of a U.S. President here in Havana would have been unimaginable.  But this is a new day. This is a Nueva dia.”

It is a new day for the President because it’s legacy time, just before he becomes a lame duck president, which is what every president is called during the period between the election and the inauguration of his successor.

Also on Mister Obama’s bucket list, making sure a Democrat replaces him.

Just last week The New York Times reported the President privately told Democratic donors the party should begin to coalesce behind Hillary Clinton.

Josh Earnest, the White House spokesperson, replied to the report by saying the President didn’t specify which candidate as long as it was a Democrat.

He is also campaigning for and helping Democratic candidates in local congressional and senate races in an effort to take back the Senate and win more seats in the House of Representatives.

The President, at every turn, is also defending his signature piece of legislation, The Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare.

He has nominated Merrick Garland to replace the recently deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

The President is using as cover, all the media attention being paid to the people who want his job.

Perhaps being out of the media spotlight is the best thing that could of happened to him?

I wonder if he glances up at the TV and secretly thanks Donald Trump?

Is this anything new? Hasn’t it always been this way? The media should be focused on the new candidates. There is no shortage of media though, the Prez gets it in, he can’t seem to sneeze without someone capturing it somewhere.

The Prez is in the process of riding out the remainingten months left of his second term in office.

His approval rating is at an all time HIGH!!!!

I doubt if the Prez is concerned with the media or the GOP fools who wish to take his spot in the White House.

President Obama, the FLOTUS and their beautiful daughters are currently visiting Cuba.
This is an historical journey as no president has visited that island for over fifty years.

This trip is to continue the amicable relationship between Raul Castro and the US and to possibly
consider lifting the embargoes/sanctions placed upon Cuba.

The President could care less about the media or the GOP fools who are attempting to go for his spot in the White House.

He and the FLOTUS and their beautiful daughters are currently on an historical journey through Cuba.
His trip is mainly to continue amicable relations with Raul Castro and to possibly consider lifting
the remaining embargoes/sanctions that were placed upon Cuba back in the 1960’s.
