The LGBT community isn’t the only one upset with “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Lil Scrappy for mocking transgender people – just as his show announced the addition of its first transgender cast member, D. Smith.

On Tuesday, the rapper posted an IG video ranting about “men with wigs on.” He hashtagged the clip #p***y check.

Scrappy’s mother, Momma Dee, was horrified by his son’s comments and shared her support for the community on IG.

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” returns to VH1 on April 4.

Below, more on D. Smith, per VH1:

D. Smith is a groundbreaking music producer who makes her debut as the first ever transgender female in the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ franchise. This Miami-born, Brooklyn-bred Grammy Award-winning writer turned artist has worked with some of the hottest in the game, including Lil Wayne.

Smith’s defining moment came after being tapped by Lil Wayne to be a part of his most successful project to date ‘The Carter III,’ which sold one million copies in its debut week, one of only three rap albums in history to ever achieve this feat. With her spitfire sidekick and aspiring singer Betty Idol by her side, this dynamic duo will take the Atlanta scene by storm.

His delivery was terrible but I agree with the point he was trying to make 110%!!!!, too many individuals in society these days pretending to be something theyre not, AND wanting to get involved with people without making them aware of that fact, thats a quick way to get seriously hurt or killed

Guess Lil’ Scrappy didn’t get the memo. Anyone in the public eye in America must “tow the party line”. You are no longer allowed to express your own opinion, without being called all kinds of names from those who are supposed to be so “tolerant”. Very sad state of affairs!

Trans people need to make sure those they date know how they were born, some brothers have been fooled into dating trans people. Its not the same, no matter what you remove or add, they need to be up front with themselves and those those close to them.

I don’t have a problem with people being straight, gay, bisexual, transgender or cross dressing unless you want to date me. As a heterosexual woman, I’m only interested in naturally born men. And I/no one should be deceived into dating someone they aren’t attracted to. And we shouldn’t get judged or “crucified” for feeling that way. His delivery may come off as rude but his feelings shouldn’t be deemed as wrong.✌🏽️

What in the hell was he talking about? What the hell is “Banga pictures”? That’s just stupid. He hasn’t grown up yet.
