  1. Mrs. Granger,

First, I would like to say that I am sorry to read your story and I truly wish I could help.

I know laws differ from State to State, but where I live, Medicare is available to ALL citizens regardless of age. Likewise, Social Security benefits begin at the time the child is materially diagnosed with a lifetime illness.

I am assuming your daughter has Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security benefits. I am assuming that those social programs should/would assist you while assisting your daughter.

I am assuming that your daughter’s medical team would provide a list of programs that would assist.

I am still assuming that as a registered voter that your local government officials SHOULD and would intervene and provide you and your daughter with medical assistance. Even if you live in a Red State, your local government has a job and that job is to assist their citizens. (That is their job!)

My heartfelt prayers are with you and your family.

  2. To Whom it may concern, Please, I need serious help!!! My daughter is severely disabled and in desperate need of a wheelchair accessible van. I tried an organization call GoFundMe but as of today the balance is still zero. I guess because of the amount I was asking for, people are just looking away ($20,00.00). This amount will only purchase an old use van but I don’t care if it is old or not I just want to get her a van so we can get her out and about. She has missed so many events and medical appointments it’s not funny. I went to so many organizations just to be told she’s to old. (she’s 32) Please help me. I not asking for money just the exposure where the public will pitch in and Donate to help provide her with a van with a wheelchair lift.

    Thank you,
    Kathleen Granger
