Uh oh. It looks like Bill Cosby‘s problem with his accusers just got worse.
That’s because the LAPD is set to investigate sexual assault claims against the embattled comedian that allegedly occurred at the Playboy Mansion, even though the incident is way past the statute of limitations.
As we previously reported, a woman named Judy Huth filed a lawsuit against Cosby, claiming she was just 15-years old in 1974 when he got her drunk and sexually assaulted her at the Playboy mansion.
According to TMZ, the LAPD says its position is that it has “an obligation to investigate all crimes when a victim comes forward.”
According to one source, it would be irresponsible to reject an investigation based on the date of the crime, because cops say there are always twists and turns and one allegation can unearth another.
TMZ’s LAPD source says that by making it known they are investigating, other alleged victim may come forward.
Interestingly, on the other hand, Huth has NOT filed a criminal complaint with the department.
