Reality TV shows come a dime a dozen these days but Tashera Simmons and Liza Morales believe Starter Wives Confidential has something that will separate it from all the other wives show on television; its realness.
Tom Joyner Morning Show super producer and commentator Nikki Woods “Goes Beyond the Studio” with Simmons, the ex-wife of DMX and the mother of his four children, and Morales who is the ex-fiancé of Lamar Odom and the mother of his three kids about their roles on TLC’s Starter Wives Confidential.
Simmons explained to Woods, “The premise of the show is just real… it’s about 6 women who were there from the start with these men before they even was thinking about being famous…even before they even thought they were going to be famous.”
She goes on to explain how producers have allowed them to finally be a show where women are allowed to express who they really are unlike other shows that might doctor up the drama, she said, “They’re letting us air out our real personal things that happened to us and very tastefully…I can be myself.”
Morales, whose ex-fiancé Odom is now married to Khloe Kardashian, explained why she decided to join Starter Wives, “my life was thrusted into the public arena and I felt like my story was being told for me.”
