Mike Tyson recently admitted that he was high cocaine when filming his scenes in the “The Hangover.”

The heavyweight champ revealed in an interview on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger,” that he agreed to do the movie only to fund his addiction to cocaine.

“They had to know I was messed up. I couldn’t talk. I had the cocaine talk,” Tyson said about his Hangover cast mates.

He appeared as himself in the film, threatening to harm the Wolfpack for stealing his tiger. The movie became the high-grossing R-rated film of 2010.

The 46-year-old described himself in 2010 saying: “I was a mess. I was overweight. I was a pig, high on cocaine.”

Tyson said the cast of the hit movie became his inspiration for getting his life back together.

“So those guys are just beautiful people. They had my back, and I appreciate that and stuff, then they asked me to come back [in the Hangover 2],” Tyson said.

However, he decided not to appear in “The Hangover Part III” expected in theatres May 2013.

Between 2006 and 2007, Tyson was convicted of a DUI and possession of cocaine. Shortly after, he checked himself into rehab.

Tyson is now looking forward to hitting the road for his one-man-show touring the U.S. next year.
