Disgraced actor Michael Jace has been charged with murder after shooting his wife, April, in the face in front of their children earlier this week. Jace, known for his role on “The Shield” faces 50 years to life if convicted. Jace is being held on $2 million bail and scheduled to face a judge Thursday.

New details emerged in the horrific killing. According to reports, Jace has a history of abuse and allegedly beat his ex-wife Jennifer Bitterman with her friend as witness. “Seeing the extent of his anger was one of the most terrifying things I have ever seen,” she said in a sworn testimony.
Jace was also facing financial trouble which seems to be the cause of he and April’s dispute the night of her death. Their children are currently staying with relatives.
