  • ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A husband and wife who were assisted by George Zimmerman after their SUV flipped over on a Florida highway will speak about their encounter with the former neighborhood watch volunteer, who was acquitted of all charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.

Mark and Dana Gerstle plan to speak Wednesday at the Orlando law office of Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara.

Zimmerman and another man helped the couple and their two children out of a flipped SUV off the road near Interstate 4 last week. The family wasn’t hurt.

It was the first time Zimmerman was seen publicly since his acquittal earlier this month.

The verdict prompted nationwide protests and Zimmerman’s parents and his attorneys have said they fear for his safety.

    1. Amazing how he’s suppose to be sooo fearful for his life, but yet he ventures out alone, and lawd and behold, he just so happen to be the person that saves a family in a overturned vehicle….smells fishy and looks shady to me. The things a person would go through so that people can see him differently. Not fooling anybody GZ!!

      • He fooled me and all the Experts out there, Chrisai, because George Zimmerman hasn’t changed at all. He’s always been a hero, but it takes a higher-level-of-knowledge,-understanding -education,-and compassion to realize what you remain unable to see.

    2. This was a bit to do about…
My husband rescued several people who were in a head on collision. There wasn’t a need to meet at a lawyers office and go public about it on television.
It’s nice to help, but it’s not extraordinary. He should be looking for a job so he can have something to do to fill his time, so he won’t be tempted to play Robocop again.

      • Facts do scare some people, especially the uninformed and those that simply do not understand the facts of the Zimmerman case, but thanks for proving me correct yet again, and you are welcome for that lesson too.

    3. they did the smart thing and cancelled…pretty shameful if you ask me to try and use a family just out of a traumatic situation to bolster GZ’S image!!
