  • Rob Parker has been axed from ESPN after facing a lot of heat from his infamous Robert Griffin III comments.

If you remember, Parker asked a fellow commentator, if RG3 is “a brother or a cornball brother.”

    He went on to say,

“He’s not real. Okay, he’s black, he kind of does the thing, but he’s not really down with the cause. He’s not one of us. He’s kind of black, but he’s not really, like, the guy you want to hang out with because he’s off to something else.”

Mike Soltys, the Vice President of Communications at ESPN, confirmed the firing via Twitter writing:

“Rob Parker’s contract expired at year end. Evaluating our needs and his work, including his recent RGIII comments, we decided not to renew.”

Check out Parker’s comments above and let us know if you think he deserved to be fired.

    3. that is not right….he did speak the truth….I think it is unfair that people can say whatever they want about us and all they have to do is apologize however if we say something about one another than he is fired….I wonder if he was fired because RG111 sleeps with the others???

He’s kind of black, but he’s not really, like, the guy you want to hang out with because he’s off to something else.” what the hell is that supposed to mean? black is black. how is rg3 not black? because he married a white woman that makes him less than black. ignorant comments like that just disgusts me
