A world champion sumo wrestler was banned from a Delta airline flight this past weekend on his way to Italy because he was overweight.
Manny Yarborough stands six foot seven and weighs 700 pounds but said this is the first time he has ever had a problem with flying,
According to Yarborough, he purchased three seats on the flight, which he thought could handle his weight spread across the seats. However, Delta still declined his spot on the flight.
Yarborough also holds the Guinness world record for the heaviest living athlete on the planet but the star athlete was forced to cancel the paid engagement.
The Department of Transportation is investigating the incident. No word on whether Delta Airlines will recieve any punishment for this.
