Houston, TX – The Texas music community is mourning the loss of rapper and producer BeatKing, who passed away on August 15. His manager, Tasha Felder, confirmed his death in a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, saying, “Today, August 15, we have lost @Clubgodzilla. BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music, and his fans. We will love him forever.”

According to sources, the cause of death was a pulmonary embolism.
BeatKing, affectionately known as “Club Godzilla,” was a prominent figure in the Houston and southern Hip-Hop scene. He first gained widespread recognition in 2010 with the release of “Kings of the Club,” which featured the hit singles “Crush,” “Hammer,” and “Lil TJones.” His third solo album, “Club God,” released in 2011, further cemented his legacy, especially with the success of the single “You Ain’t Bout That Life.”
Known for his infectious personality and dynamic music, BeatKing became a highly sought-after artist in Texas and the southern United States. He recently performed at Atlanta Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash Concert, showcasing his enduring appeal. He was also scheduled to appear at 97.9 The Box’s “For The H: Sexxy Red For President” on August 31st in his hometown of Houston.
BeatKing is survived by his daughters. He was 39 years old.
