Eddie Murphy and his daughter Angel Murphy, both born on April 3, spent their joint birthday together following months of allegations suggesting the two were estranged.

Spice Girl Mel B gave birth to Angel Murphy on Eddie’s 46th birthday, just months after their nasty breakup. The two have been at odds ever since, and Mel’s husband at the time, Stephen Belafonte, alleges now (amid their messy divorce) that he has been more of a father to Angel than Eddie ever has.

But the relationship between Mel B and Murphy reportedly thawed in February after she invited Eddie’s mom over for dinner to spend time with her grandchild.

Cut to Wednesday, April 3, 2018: Eddie Murphy’s daughter Bella shared a video of Angel and Eddie celebrating their birthdays together. Family members are shown singing Happy Birthday to Angel with Eddie standing by his daughter’s side.
