If you wondering if Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte are still together or not, don’t ask Belafonte.

“I’m not disputing it, I didn’t know, I had no idea,” the 39-year-old producer told the Daily Mail, regarding a split from his wife of seven years and headlines about his marriage being “on life support.”

“I never saw anything, is there something online about me?” stated Belafonte. “Listen, I had no idea, I didn’t know, I have no idea, what was it New York Times, or was it the LA Times, what was it, this week, what paper was I on?”

Belafonte’s crazy comments come as reports surfaced Wednesday about him moving out of the home he and Mel B shared in London. Although he no longer resides in London, Belafonte did admit to the Daily Mail that he’s living in San Diego.

Talk surrounding the status of Mel B and Belafonte’s marriage started when the 39-year-old former Spice Girl appeared without her wedding ring on the “X Factor UK” season finale on Sunday. The entertainer reportedly ended up in the hospital Thursday for a mystery illness that left her in “screaming agony” and unable to make the show’s taping on Saturday.

To add to the chatter, Mel B noticeably appeared on the finale with bruises on her arm and shoulders. Needless to say, theories rained down as fans speculated that Belafonte, who put the rumors to bed on Twitter, abused her.

“No one has accused me of anything,” he told the Daily Mail while confessing that that this isn’t the first time he’s faced accusations of being abusive. “You can only re-mix ten things, ten ways, so many times. Who accused me of it, did she accuse me of it, the police, the hospital, who accused me of it? I thought when you beat someone up the police or the hospital or the person you beat up says it.”

Despite all the talk about the status of his marriage, Belafonte is confident it all will die down soon. Nevertheless, we have yet to hear from Mel B.

“I mean come on, how long will it take, two weeks, a month, two months, a year,” said Belafonte.
