Rev. Al Sharpton: Sacramento Police Shooting Of Stephon Clark
Stephon Clark was the 22-year-old unarmed Black man who was killed by police in Sacramento, California. Rev. Al Sharpton will be giving the eulogy at his funeral but wants us to remember to not give up the fight.
“Again another police officer seeing an unarmed Black man and saying we thought he had a gun,” has become an all too familiar line according to Sharpton. “There was no good reason to approach him with deadly force.”
Clark’s death serves as another representation of a poisoned justice system that desperately needs help.
“Unless we stop and force federal laws on police, we’re going to continue to get Eric Garner and Michael Brown to now Stephon Clark,” expressed Sharpton.
