Power is on the way. Starz announced today that the Season 5 debut will happen on Sunday, July 1st. Back for Season 5 is Larenz Tate, co-creator Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson Omari Hardwick, Joseph Sikora, Naturi Naughton, Lela Loren and the rest of the Power clan except for, well, a few casualties of last season, who we won’t name in case there are folks who still need to catch up. The good news is, you have some time!
Now you know. #PowerTV Season 5 premieres Sunday, July 1 on @STARZ. But that’s not it–we’ve got Season 6 coming for you, fam. 🔥🙌🏾 pic.twitter.com/Q16dQPHyUj

Starz also announced that a Season 6 has already been greenlit, so whatever happens in Season 5, there’s a guaranteed next season after that. We’re sure Hardwick is happy about that, as he may be the only cast member whose survival is likely assured until the final season.
“As ‘Power’ wraps production on season five, we want to acknowledge and thank our spectacular ‘Power’ team for producing another great season. We are also pleased to announce a pick-up for season six,” said. Starz President of Programming Carmi Zlotnik.
Oh, and Jackson is directing the first episode of Season 6, and show co-creator Courtney Kemp remains on board as well.
