Legendary multi-platinum selling R&B Diva songstress and actress Angie Stone is gearing up for the release of her DREAM on November 6, 2015.
She spoke to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about her South Carolina roots, music and relationships, including the tumultuous one with her 30-year-old daughter Diamond (Angie was arrested earlier this year after police say she assaulted her daughter, causing her teeth to be knocked out).
On where her and Diamond stand now:
“It’s family, it’s what we do. Everything is real cool.”
How Bishop TD Jakes used their story to help educate the world:
“TD Jakes actually helped the rest of the world. I think what my daughter and I went through was an extension of what everyone goes through. I just think that sometimes God puts on platforms where it really matters. And of course Angie Stone had to be at the head of that pack.”
